雅思阅读段落结构分析

　　众所周知，一篇结构完整的文章都是由一个个的段落构成的。雅思阅读的文章当然也不例外。因此我们对于文章的理解不能仅仅停留在对单个句子的理解上，还要学会通过把握段落结构信息来解题。

　　今天我们就来看看比较常见的两种段落结构，及其在解题过程中对于我们的帮助~

　　总分结构

　　说明文中，大部分段落都为总分结构，即段落的第一句或前两句是中心句，其后的内容是对于中心句的进一步解释说明。

　　由于通常中心句是一个具有概括性语气的陈述句，而后的内容一般是细节描述、例子或者数据分析，所以中心句的识别难度并不大。

　　比如剑9Test4中The Development of Museums的第三个自然段：

　　In a related development, the sharp distinction between museum and heritage sites on the one hand, and theme parks on the other, is gradually evaporating.

　　They already borrow ideas and concepts from one another. For example, museums have adopted story lines for exhibitions, sites have accepted 'theming' as a relevant tool……

　　这个自然段的第一和第二句讲到：博物馆，历史遗址和主题公园现在在借鉴对方的想法和观点，彼此之间的区别在越变越小。

　　然后从第三个句子开始，运用举例逻辑进一步阐释说明前两句内容。

　　因此一旦识别到这样一个非常典型的总分自然段结构，那么就不难发现，这篇文章中List of Headings的第28题的正确答案，Fewer difference between public attractions基本就是前两句内容的同义替换：public attractions（公共景点）指的是museum，heritage sites和theme parks；sharp distinction...is gradually evaporating和They already borrow ideas and concepts from one another这部分信息被题替换成了Fewer difference。

　　段中转折结构

　　段落中的转折关系是雅思阅读中的一类经典考点，同学们应该对其保持高度的警觉性。遇到转折关系，那么该段的重点信息会体现在however/but等连接词的后面：

　　比如剑8Test2中The Meaning And Power of Smell的第三个自然段：

　　In spite of its importance to our emotional andsensorylives, smell is probably the most undervalued sense in many cultures.

　　The reason often given for the low regard in which smell is held is that, in comparison with its importance among animals, the human sense of smell isfeebleand undeveloped.While it is true that theolfactorypowers of humans are nothing like as fine as those possessed by certain animals, they are still remarkablyacute.Our noses are able to recognize thousands of smells, and to perceive odours which are present only in extremely small quantities.

　　这个自然段前两句给我们讲到了气味在我们的感知生活中不受重视并且不受重视的原因。

　　但是从第三句话开始，却是一个由while引导的让步状语从句，先回应上文，承认人类嗅觉相比于一些动物确实没有那么的厉害，但是其仍然非常敏锐，并由自然段的最后一句话来阐述人类嗅觉敏锐的具体体现方面。

　　段中转折以退为进，带出重点信息。弄明白自然段结构后，下面让我们一起来看看这段话对应的35题：

　　What is the writer doing in paragraph C?

　　A.supporting other research

　　B.making a proposal

　　C.rejecting a common belief

　　D.descrbing limitation
