　　As clear as a bell

　　短语 “as clear as a bell” 或 “clear as bell” 用来指 “某物或人发出的声音清晰、洪亮”。它由形容词 “clear（声音清晰的）”、副词 “as（像…一样）” 和 “a bell（一个铃铛）” 组成，表示 “声音像铃铛一样纯净透亮，没有任何杂音”。这个短语常用在感官动词 “hear（听见）” 和 “sound（听起来，听见）” 后。

　　例句

　　I could hear the music as clear as a bell from the back of the theatre.

　　我在剧院后面也能很清晰地听到音乐。

　　It’s amazing this old radio still tunes into stations really well. The opera sounded as clear as a bell!

　　这台旧收音机真是不错，仍然能很好地收到电台的信号。歌剧听上去非常清晰！

　　Last year we heard the concert as clear as a bell, but this year we weren’t as close to the stage.

　　“Someone’s teeth are chattering” 这个句型指某人的上下牙因为受凉、受惊或恐惧而不自主地、快速不停地 “打战、咯咯作响”。注意：用这个句型的进行时态来描述此类情景，句子听起来会更自然。在进行时态中，动词 “chatter” 相应地变为 “chattering”，强调牙齿打战的动作会持续一段时间。

　　Ben’s car broke down in the middle of a snowstorm so he had to walk. When he got home, his teeth were chattering so much he couldn’t tell us what had happened!
