　　However,at the other end of the scale, stand those opponents, who believe that the decisivekey of success in sports hinges more on spiritual power than on muscle strength.Instead of physical capacity, what supports many athletes to insist and wingames is the indomitable will, particularly when they are falling behind.

　　Also,another benefit of mental strength lays emphasis on the team spirit, whichcannot be achieved by any material force. It is the common sense of honor that canunify various talents into a team, regardless of their divergence inpersonalities, political or religious beliefs. Taking this factor one stepfurther, the morale, which is also pivotal in wining a game, is inextricablybound up with the spiritual power in every athlete’s mind.

　　Giventhis, although the importance of body strength in sports cannot be ignored, I wouldsay that athletes with a never-say-die spirit in mind is more compelling to methan those fit and strong in body.
